If you’re in the market for one particular style of home, Tampa provides a wealth of options. Mediterranean-style homes are prevalent in certain Tampa neighborhoods, and we found some of the best at home in three particular areas of town.
Beach Park
Filled with towering Oak trees and winding streets, the Beach Park neighborhood is a true gem when it comes to Tampa area real estate. First developed in the 1920s, the neighborhood is known for its large lots and extremely desirable homes.
In fact, a majority of the first homes in the neighborhood were constructed with Mediterranean-style design elements in mind, from terracotta roofs to stucco exteriors. It’s also common to find plenty of decorative tile used throughout the homes, complimenting the overall designs. Many of these older homes have since been preserved, as well, within this historic neighborhood.
Beach Park is also attractive for its proximity to the downtown area, plus for its wide availability of options in local dining, shopping and entertainment.
Davis Islands
Another great location to seek out is the Tampa neighborhood of Davis Islands. This popular community was also built-up also starting around the 1920s, and many of the old Mediterranean-style structures dating back to the beginning of the neighborhood still stand in the community today.
The neighborhood consists of some two-story stucco homes, with many of the old Mediterranean Revival homes clustered together along roadways such as Adalia Street. Mostly dating from around the mid 1920s, these homes are joined by some newer construction homes of the same style, coming together to form one of the area’s most desirable neighborhoods.
You’ll also find plenty of options in shopping and dining in the Davis Islands neighborhood, especially along East Davis Boulevard.
Sunset Park Isles
Finally, a third admirable option for those searching for a Mediterranean-style home in Tampa is within the neighborhood of Sunset Park Isles. Mostly single-family homes and spacious estates, a majority of homes for sale in Sunset Park Isles were constructed from around the mid 1950s to today.
The community features a number of new or even newer construction homes, including all of the latest features and finishes that new homebuyers are looking for. Many of these are constructed in Mediterranean-style as well, framed by impressive lots and well-manicured properties.
From historic homes to more modern designs, you’ll find plenty of options in sensational Mediterranean-style homes within these top Tampa neighborhoods.
