Tampa is a thriving city when it comes to culture and the arts, and its residents certainly reflect this in so many different ways. As “artsy” people ourselves, we’re always keeping an eye out for ways to support local artisans, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs, especially around this time of the year when the holiday season is in full swing.

With the emergence of social media and terrific e-commerce websites like etsy.com, it’s become much, much easier for artists to showcase and sell their work, not to mention easier for people like us to buy it as well. And as Realtors, it’s also fun to imagine what might look good in certain homes or condos we preview, or keep up with all the latest in-home decor trends for our own home too.

So whether you’re thinking about making an upcoming move or just want some new ideas for your existing home, here’s a quick look at some pretty cool #MadeInTampa finds we’ve recently seen on Instagram:

Alamo Design Co

If you love mid-century modern design, give these guys a follow. Their furniture is absolutely fabulous, and will look great inside a Tampa bungalow or cottage.

The Colibri Project

Following the woodworking theme, we love the stuff The Colibri Project puts out. And as you'll quickly notice, their works of art make great gifts or possibly stocking stuffers; although it's probably a little late for that.

Knot Fusion

If vibrant colors aren't your thing, check out the softer fiber-art creations from Knot Fusion. As you can see on Instagram, these handmade plant and wall-hangings are a great addition to any room in the house, especially if you're looking to tone things down and create more of a calming, relaxed setting.
