Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Tampa

Tampa provides a number of great ways to celebrate March 17th including:

Paddy Fest at Irish 31 Hyde Park – 1611 West Swann Avenue, Tampa

Actually held on March 12th and starting at 11am, this St. Patrick’s Day festival will include local bands and plenty of great food and drink from Irish 31 Restaurant and Bar. Three live bands will play including Connor Zwetsch and Daniel Rodriguez.

The Mayor’s River O’Green Fest – Curtis Hixon Park, 600 North Ashley Drive, Tampa

The Hillsborough River has been turned green for five straight years in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. This festival, held on March 19th from 10:30am to 9pm, will provide plenty of fun with the river at the forefront. It’s an annual event with plenty of music, kids activities, food and beer. The festival is free and open to the public.

Rough Riders St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Ybor City

The 1st U.S. Volunteer Calvary Regiment or “Rough Riders” will provide an excellent parade to celebrate Irish heritage on March 12th from 7pm to 11pm.

Many other Irish bars and restaurants will hold special events in Tampa for St. Patrick’s Day, as well.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Clearwater

Maybe you don’t want to celebrate in Tampa and you’d rather head to Clearwater. Some of the top ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Clearwater include:

O’Keefe’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration – 1219 Fort Harrison Avenue, Clearwater

From 11am to 12am on March 17th, O’Keefe’s Tavern will hold their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. They will serve traditional corned beef and cabbage with a rock wall for climbing, bagpipers and Irish dancers. The party is known as a family-friendly event and parking is free at O’Keefe’s.

St. Patrick’s Day Bash at Danny’s Food and Spirits – 2350 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor

For the 31st year in a row, Danny’s Food and Sprits will hold a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with green beer, corned beef, cabbage and plenty of fun.

Flanagan’s Irish Pub Street Festival – 465 Main Street, Dunedin

On March 17th from 11am to 12am, Flanagan’s Irish Pub will hold their annual St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival. The event will provide plenty of beer, Irish culture, music and fun for everybody to enjoy.

Other area pubs and bars may be holding special events for St. Patrick’s Day, as well.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in St. Petersburg

St. Patrick's DayMaybe you prefer the St. Petersburg area for your St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Some of the events happening in this area include:

Courigan’s 6th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party – 1 Beach Drive SE, St. Petersburg

Actually held on March 11th and starting at 9:30am, Courigan’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party will provide all kinds of fun. It will all start with “Kegs ‘n’ Eggs” and continue with live music, drink specials and Irish food throughout the day.

MacDinton’s St. Pete – 242 2st Avenue, St. Petersburg

With bagpipes, Irish dancers, Irish food and plenty of beer, MacDinton’s is one of the most popular spots for St. Patrick’s Day in the area. They provide all kinds of fun and a huge variety of beer on tap. The party will start at 11am on March 17th.

Indian Shores St. Patrick’s Day Street Fest – Indian Shores Town Hall, 19305 Gulf Boulevard, Indian Shores

Held on Saturday, March 12th and starting at 11am, the Indian Shores St. Patrick’s Day Street Fest will provide plenty of fun. The sleep town will come alive with crafts, live music, vendors, Irish food and more. The event is free for everybody.

There are many other area bars and restaurants providing great ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in St. Petersburg, as well.

Whether you want to celebrate in Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg or another area of the Greater Tampa area, there are plenty of choices. With some of the events held on St. Patrick’s Day, others before and others after, you may be able to celebrate for an entire week!
