Some Tampa neighborhoods will always be highly sought-after by area home buyers, like Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, and downtown’s Channel District just to name a few.
But according to analysis from Seattle-based broker Redfin, MacFarlane and Roser Park could be among the hottest neighborhoods throughout the Tampa-St. Petersburg area in 2020.
The analysis considered how many active buyers are viewing properties in each neighborhood, along with median days on market, how many properties are selling for above list price, and how pricing stacks up with other parts of the city.
MacFarlane Park had the highest median sale price of the 3 neighborhoods mentioned in the report and over a quarter of the homes there have moved for over the original asking price.
Roser Park has the lowest median sale price of the three areas mentioned, which also includes Plant City. Homes for sale in the Roser Park neighborhood most recently have a median sale price of $150,000 and nearly 9 percent of listings have sold above the list price.
