I surely love Florida. It is one of the best places in all of the United States. That’s why it isn’t much a surprise when it was recognized as one of the nation’s top vacation destinations, the Sunshine State. Thousands or even millions of tourists come to Florida every year. Locals love the place too. So here are 10 top things I love about Florida.
1. The Florida Weather
An important natural resource of the state is none other than its climate. It wouldn’t be called as the Sunshine State if it wasn’t for the lovely weather. The mild winters have attracted visitors from all over the country, those hope to find relief from the chilly winds of the north. But of course, Florida is more popular in the summer season, with its coastal beaches and communities.
2. The Beautiful Sunsets
There is nothing more beautiful than enjoying a sunset at Florida. In two of Florida communities, every sunset gives people a reason to celebrate, and these are at Key West and Clearwater Beach. At night, just before the sun hides, people gather in a festive atmosphere, and together, they enjoy the spectacular show of the sunset.
3. The Beaches
Looking for the best destination for summer? You will find the finest beaches at Florida. These may not have the best sand or the biggest waves, but the beaches indeed cater to specific crowds that love the way the current goes in this area.
4. Disney World, Florida
The Disney World opened in 1971, and it has definitely changed Central Florida forever. It is another top vacation destination in the said state, with its four theme parks and themed resort hotels. It gives thousands of visitors valuable memories and indeed a magical and unforgettable experience.
5. Florida State Parks
The Florida State Park system offers a number of historical places to visit. There are several recreational activities too, both for the young and old. These places reflect the natural beauty of Florida, as well as its rich history. It is also home to some of the most notable state parks of the nation.
6. Ancient City
Florida features Saint Augustine, considered as a tribute to its past. It is said that the place has survived for five long centuries, known to be the nation’s oldest city. It was founded 42 years ago before the English colonized Jamestown, and 55 years ago where the pilgrims landed at the Plymouth Rock. People surely love the narrow brick streets of Old Town.
7. Camping at Florida
Any experienced camper will love the grounds of this place. In fact, it is sometimes called as a camping paradise. The mild climate all throughout the year makes it suitable for outdoor adventures.
8. Bok Tower Gardens
One of the prettiest and most majestic places in Florida is Bok Tower Gardens. It is a place untouched by the march of time. It is located at the highest point of the state, with a singing bell tower and surrounded with a garden. It is the perfect place to pause or lives and just rethink and meditate.
9. The Small Towns
The small towns all over Florida are indeed interesting. These claim to have notable history; others are out of the way, but surely worth driving for. And a number of these celebrate annual festivals.
10. Florida Keys
Florida Key is very popular and yet another vacation destination. Outdoor enthusiasts will definitely enjoy the water sports, including fishing, scuba diving, and snorkeling.
