Many areas found throughout Tampa Bay are growing. There are several incredible developments underway and others on the schedule. Here's a look at some of the coolest real estate projects found throughout the area.
Tampa International Airport Expansion
This project will take the 3,300 acres of the airport and expand it over three phases. The goal of the project will be to expand the airport to handle 35 million passengers every year. That will double the amount it currently handles.
Expanding the airport will help to keep it competitive with others across the country. Plus, it will provide the first impression of the area when visitors arrive.
One St. Petersburg Condo and Hotel
A downtown St. Petersburg project, this condo building and hotel will provide 253 units and stand 41 stories tall. It will become one of the tallest buildings in the area and will also provide waterfront views for higher units.
The condos found within the unit will be upscale, along with the hotel. Originally, the developer, Kolter Group, expected the hotel to be branded at a Hyatt, but the announcement has yet to be made.
Raymond James Financial Pasco Campus
A project expected to help with the overflow growth from the headquarters of the company, this real estate project will happen in the Carillon office park. The new location will provide more protection from storm surges. While it has been five years since the company announced it would build multiple towers in Pasco, it has finally started to make something happen.
Raymond James purchased 65 acres of land last fall and the company is expected to use the land for expansion. This will provide a Fortune 500 company in Pasco, which will help the area in many ways.
A new mixed-use space is expected to become a part of the city where the Hillsborough River meets Kennedy Boulevard. Plans show three buildings on 6.25 acres of land with offices, hotel space, residences and retail space. This would help to make the downtown fee of the city become more evident across the river.
Other real estate projects in the works for Tampa include:
Vinik-Cascade Joint Venture for Amalie Arena area
Tropicana Field Redevelopment
The Heights Mixed-use Development
400 Block of Central Avenue in Downtown St. Petersburg
New Publix Stores in St. Petersburg and Tampa
There are several new developments in the works across the Tampa Bay area. Many will bring new stores, residences, hotels and even jobs to the metro area.
