National real estate data website PropertyShark just recently released a report that outlined what Florida’s most expensive ZIP codes are currently, which are about what you would expect if you’re somewhat familiar with the Florida real estate market in general.
Not surprisingly, Miami Beach (33109) topped the list as being the most expensive ZIP code in the state, and the 4th most expensive nationally, while Boca Grande (33921) and the 33122 ZIP on Miami’s west side weren’t far behind and rounded out the state’s top three.
Closer to home, however, several local markets also make the list of 50, most notably Anna Maria Island, which came in at No. 5 overall.
According to the numbers, Anna Maria Island’s 34216 ZIP code recorded a median sales price of $900,000 last year, which as mentioned was high enough to rank 5th overall and the only Tampa area ZIP to crack the Top 10.
Coming in at No. 11 overall and just outside the Top 10 was Longboat Key (34228), which had a median sales price of $672,500; and two Sarasota ZIP codes, 34242 and 34236, also just made the Top 20, coming in at No. 18 and No. 19.
In Tampa specifically, a median sales price of $435,000 in the 33606 ZIP code was high enough to rank 40th, while 33629 wasn’t far behind at No. 43 with a median sales price of $425,000 in 2016.
