About Palma Ceia Golf

Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club has a current membership of approximately 2,500.  The 18 hole golf course was originally designed by Donald Ross and completed in 1925.  A complete renovation was finished in 2011 by Bobby Weed.  This overhaul of the course won Renovation of the Year in 2012 from Golf, Inc.

The Palma Ceia is a superbly maintained 6,211 yard, par 70 course that players can enjoy year round.  It features a variety of long or short holes defending par in a true Donald Ross-designed fashion.  The course is not considered long by today’s standard, and is tightly routed over only 82 acres.   It has a course rating of 69.8 with a slope rating of 126.  Members rave about its fun green complexes and its strategic bunkering.

Do you want to improve your swing?  That’s not a problem at Palma Ceia.  Members here can take advantage of private lessons that are offered by request through the club.

About the Palma Ceia Neighborhood

Palma Ceia is a neighborhood that is located in the southwest area of downtown Tampa.  It is bordered by Morrison Avenue to the north, Bay to Bay Boulevard to the south, Dale Mabry Highway to the west and the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway to the east.  The neighborhood is well known for its beautiful brick streets and has a character much like that of Ybor City.

The Palma Ceia neighborhood is not only home to the Palma Ceia Country Club, but it also contains the Palma Ceia Design District near the intersection of MacDill Avenue and Bay to Bay Boulevard.  This area is comprised of several quaint cafes and specialty boutiques and has some of the best shopping in the city.  It is a short half-mile walk from Bayshore Boulevard.  The district is officially designated by a sculpture created by local artist Marc DeWaele that sits at the intersection of MacDill and Bay to Bay.
